  1. How can my organization register for the Défi Meilleurs Employeurs?
    You can register at www.defimeilleursemployeurs.com. Fill out the registration form found in the “How to Register” section and submit it online.
  2. Are there any participation fees associated with the Défi?
    No participation fees are required. All your employees can complete the survey online, free of charge. In addition, each participating organization will receive the necessary supplies to carry out the survey. However, some handling fees may apply for those organizations who chose to administer a paper questionnaire.
  3. What is the registration deadline?
    The registration period is from October 1st to March 31st.
  4. Why should my organization participate in the Défi Meilleurs Employeurs?
    Participating in the Défi gives your organization the opportunity to self-assess, to compare with other participating organizations as well as with a representative sample of Canadian firms, and to improve its human capital practices. For further information, consult the “Top Ten Reasons to Participate” section of our website.
  5. If our organization is not appointed among the winners, how are the results presented?
    Communications regarding the Défi Meilleurs Employeurs, including the feature article in Affaires Plus magazine, will disclose the winners in rank order (for each category). All other participants will be listed in alphabetical order and theirs scores will not be revealed.
  6. What are the dimensions surveyed in the employer questionnaire?
    The Organization's Profile, the Organization as a Corporate Citizen, Market Context of the Organization, Rewards and Benefits, and Human Resources.
  7. How will our organization receive the survey results?
    A summary report outlining your organization’s results is provided to you, free of charge!
    What does the summary report contain?
  8. It contains:
    • A comparison of your results with the global results of all Défi participants within the dimensions measured
    • A presentation of the differences between manager and employee results
    • The perception of commitment towards your organization
    • A selection of typical employee comments
    • New feature! A comparison of your results with those of a representative sample of Canadian firms polled in the WorkCanadaTM survey.
    A guide explaining how to interpret the data and read the report is also provided.
  9. When will the survey results be available?
    Your organization can obtain the summary report outlining your results as early as July; however, the report including the global results for all Défi participants will only be sent to you once this year’s winners are announced in the fall.
  10. How long does it take to complete the questionnaires?
    • Employees should allow a maximum of 30 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
    • Employers should allow anywhere between one hour and one day to complete the questionnaire, depending on the availability of the data.
